Why some USB cables cannot support data transfer

The original mobile phone data cable equipped with the mobile phone can be transmitted and charged, but many of the mobile phone data cables purchased from the market can only be charged but not data transmission. Why is this?
There are four core wires in the mobile phone data cable, two of which are used for charging, and the other two are used for data transmission. Generally speaking, the two core wires of red and black represent the charging core wire, and the green and white are data.  In order to save material costs, some manufacturers do not have green and white data cables. That is to say, there are only two red and black charging cores inside the charging cable, which does not have the data transmission function. Whether the is a data cable or a charging cable, you can try to connect the computer with the cable. If the driver installation is not displayed, it is generally just a charging cable for charging only, or you can cut the cable to see if there are four core wires.
